UV Filters: Octisalate, Homosalate, Tinosorb S, Tinosorb M, Polysilicone-15, Uvinul A Plus.

Contains: alcohol, fragrance, oil.

Not suitable for dry and dehydrated skin.

Preparation

I applied the sunscreen on my left arm, wait for 15 mins and take a photo using UV camera (Sunscreenr).

For experiment purpose, I'd just cover from back of my hand to somewhere around my wrist. I'd leave my wrist area as comparison. No white cast on me despite the Tinosorb M (it's low), dries and sets. Has powdery finish to the touch. The powder actually can transfer to clothing. It transfers to my pants when I rest my arms here and under UV camera I can see the black particle on my pants. So it's not transfer proof.

Initial application

As you can see, it's not shiny at all. It sets quickly within 5-7 mins.

Rubbing under Running Water

I put my back of hand under running water over the sink, and rubbed vigorously, trying to rub off the sunscreen off.

Sunscreen faded significantly after rubbing it under running water

Removal with foaming body wash

I tried with my foaming body wash from Shokubutsu. I can still see a hint of sunscreen there

Normal body wash is not able to remove it completely

Removal with DHC Cleansing Oil

It removes the sunscreen completely, better than body wash alone. I left the middle part as undisturbed as possible for comparison.

Thoughts / Review

I use this on my body mostly because it dries completely. And it's not sticky, so nobody's arm will stick to mine when their arm bump onto my arm. They probably will slide over me, since my arms will be powdery smooth LOL

I have oily skin, living in humid tropical country. A lot of EU sunscreens are too greasy and never dry. Trust me, I have tried a tonI have a quick swatch of what I currently own here

I will use this for my face if I'm going to the beach where my usual sunscreen will get sticky for whatever reason. I can't use this on my face too frequently as it's drying. Seriously, even on my oily skin, this thing dries out my skin as the day goes on. I am not a person to wear a lot of hydrating products on my face (rarely even a moisturizer). I only wash my face > benzoyl peroxide > niacinamide serum (water weight) > Timeless peptide serum (just ONE drop) > sunscreen.

I also use this on my neck, though it can get 'trapped' into the horizontal neck lines and caused a white line there. Annoying. But I haven't found a sunscreen that doesn't do this actually (except Purito Centella maybe? But I am not going to use that outside).

I don't like this Skinfood is not friction resistant either. For example, when I rest my arms on my pants, the powdery finish can smear to my pants. After that, when I touch my pants, I can feel that powdery finish there. It's annoying for me, makes me think that I'm being 'dusty'.

If I have to choose, I still prefer Anessa Perfect Milk 2018 formula over this, as the Anessa feels smoother and lighter, and I also think Anessa one dries even faster. Anessa also doesn't transfer to my clothes. But it's double the price (damn) you get what you're paying for I guess? And Anessa has more visible white cast.

I'm interested on Allie sunscreens now, since they are on par with Anessa sunscreens apparently. Let me know if you have tried any of Allie sunscreens (2020 formula) too!

About UV camera

Disclaimer: I only use this to see if a sunscreen disperses an even layer (or patchy and spotty); and if I miss out a spot during application. It's not by all means to measure the sunscreen protection level. Got mine from sunscreenr.com. It's compatible with android phone.
