I was about to throw this away, but I feel so heartbroken since I used a forwarding service to import this sunscreen in. This sunscreen is VERY sticky, even after 12 hours with no reapplication. This is my biggest cons for this one.

Preparation

On the website, it says to use a golf size ball for adult arm. I don't play golf, so I don't know the exact size of the ball. So I squeezed out this much, and divide it into half, and apply it to half of my arm

Initial application

It's pretty troublesome to apply it if you are outside and the weather has strong wind, the mousse will fly away lol. The mousse will turn liquidy when you rub it and spread it. It doesn't have white cast, but on my photo, it looks like there was a white cast, but I assure you it's just a shine reflecting

After spreading

I wait for 20 mins for it to set and use nail curing UV lamp to take the photo with my sunscreenr UV camera.

It looks very even under UV camera

On the EVY FAQ site, it says:

*...*An amount the size of a golf ball is about enough for an average adult’s arm. The mousse will be absorbed completely within 5-10 minutes. If it absorbs quicker than this, you may have used too little (or you have dry skin) and if it feels sticky after 5-10 mins you may have used too much. It’s fine to rinse away excess with water without taking away the protection. Be aware that in humid and warm climates it can take longer for the mousse to dry.

If you are going to be in the sun all day, we recommend that you apply the mousse properly in the morning. Let it dry before swimming or putting on clothes. The protection is tested to last for up to six hours, even if you swim, but if you’re out in strong sunlight it can be advisable to work on sensitive areas during the day. EU general recommendations is to reapply every 2 hours. 1 x 150ml bottle is equivalent to about 10 average adult whole-body applications.

So basically they said if it's still sticky, it's fine to rinse away excess with water without taking away the protection. It can take longer time to dry if we are in humid and warm climate; which I am, I'm in humid tropical southeast asia. As I'm typing this, the UV index is 7, temperature 25 - 34°C, humidity 55 - 95%.

Rinse under Running Water

I washed the back of my palm area under running water. It still looks decent, and the shine is completely gone.

It's still tacky though even after rinsing it under running water. Btw, my fingers had the sticky feel after rubbing the sunscreen under running water. Yuck. They stick to each other until I wash it with hand soap.

Rub Test and Removal with Body Wash

So since I have longer area to play with, I rubbed my wrist area under running water vigorously; at the same time, I also use foaming body wash on back of my palm area. As you can see, foaming body wash can remove it just fine. And, the area that I rubbed vigorously definitely is loosing some protection. But it wasn't too bad.

Most right: washed with soap; Center: rubbed vigorously under running water; Left: undisturbed layer

Review / Thoughts:

Like I have mentioned, I use forwarding service to import this in. I was worried at first since it's considered as flammable. Thankfully I only ordered 1 bottle of it, it wasn't cheap.

I have tried this on my face and arms on few occasions. It's VERY VERY VERY sticky. I wore it on 8am, came back at ~7pm and the stickiness was still present. Even worse, any fabric lints just stick to my arms. I really can't take sticky sunscreen on my body.

It's hard to measure the amount you use since it's a mousse type.

It feels very lightweight, and has no white cast. There's definitely shine, which is also the reason I don't like to use it on my oily face. My hair will just stick to my face too anyway, so I don't recommend this at all; esp if you live in humid hot tropical country and have oily skin like me.

It has tacky finish so I think this is a good one to be under make up, though I don't wear foundation. I only put loose powder over to take down the shine.

It claims to have 6 hours protection btw if it's your thing. You definitely need to reapply it after toweling or swimming imo.

I was about to throw this into the bin, but after seeing the test, I think I can use this as daily sunscreen, but I will HAVE TO rinse it under running water after application to reduce the stickiness. I wonder if I have enough time in the morning to do so though, we shall see.

It's easily washable with body wash, so this is a good thing - so I don't need to use extra step of cleansing oil to remove it from my body.

About UV camera

Disclaimer: I only use this to see if a sunscreen disperses an even layer (or patchy and spotty); and if I miss out a spot during application. It's not by all means to measure the sunscreen protection level. Got mine from sunscreenr.com. It's compatible with android phone.
